W-9 Mountain Hemlock with Michael Hagedorn

Saturday, 9/15/18, 1:30pm-5pm
Oregon Grape Room, 8 Participants, $490

These Mountain Hemlocks are Yamadori* collected in British Columbia by Anton Nijhuis. Mountain Hemlocks make some of the most beautiful foliage pads of any bonsai specimen, they just need a little help from you. Artist Michael Hagedorn says "One of the easiest of the Pacific Northwest native trees to train as bonsai, there are nonetheless several tricks to Mountain Hemlock styling and maintenance."  This species is increasingly hard to find, thus this workshop is a rare opportunity and participants will come away very pleased.(Don't let the photo's poor quality mislead you, these trees were hand-picked by Michael.)

*Yamadori is the term used to define trees collected from the wild, typically old, gnarled trees showing the effects of harsh environmental influences.

THIS WORKSHOP IS SOLD OUT. TO BE ADDED TO THE WAITLIST, USE THE BUTTON BELOW THE TREE ON THE RIGHT.
